In the last days of life most of us will not go to the grave asking for more time on a computer. But we may ask for some more time to experience life outdoors with our loved ones and our Creator. Outside that door is a beautiful world that we seem to be experiencing less and less. Why?

The wind whistles.... The trees sway and the leaves flicker about A magpie flys by and mockingbirds SING out! Sunshine filters in and out of the clouds up high A BLAST of cool air chills the surrounding sky Crickets chirping in the distance Natural sounds makes us want for MORE! Such is LIFE in the GREAT outdoors! But we live in SQUARE rooms most of the time Then we bury our heads in a plastic screen. Makes one want to say...... "Wake up, go outside and put that computer thingy away!" Well.... What are we all waiting for? I am going now, later on I will read and write some more.... For the only thing keeping us from experiencing our Natural surroundings right NOW is that door! Let us take a walk.... Amen my friend! (Copy as you wish- no problem!)

The imagery is great in the first section of the poem! You are right , many do need to get out more and enjoy nature and the beauty of each new day !...M

I love walking in the woods. We have 23 acres to wander in and a beautiful meadow where wildlife comes to eat and play. It is like having my very own reserve.

Both walking and nature are restorative reflective activities that anyone can indulge in except those that are trapped in the concrete canyons of some cities without parks. I will take your poem as a call to action, and no longer spend time reading and commenting on all the authors' works here� On second thought� No way! ;-)
