Viet Nam Now and Then

I had the honor of serving during the Viet Nam War. Some friends died there and others died very young after coming back. They will stay in my heart and soul forever, and that's a fact. (Photo: My retirement party cake, celebrated as a Major with 24 years of honorable service in the United States Air Force).

This is a poetic story, that is very sad but true . It's dedicated to all that died in while serving in Viet Nam At the time, it could have been me, it could have been you. Some had the honor of being engraved on a big black wall. They fought for freedom and in the end, gave it their all. Others passed away of a broken heart after coming back. Then there were so many returning with PTSD many felt like they were still under attack! That place called Viet Nam is so different today. It's a country filled with many kind loving people, who hope and pray that peace is here to stay. Amen John Michael Domino, 11/02/19
