IS THERE A SANTA CLAUS ??

 

It’s a snowy Christmas eve .

Company is ready now to leave ,

Hugs and kisses all around ,

Laughter bubbling , joyous sound.

 

Car lights bounce down country lane

Glistening over snowy plain .

Faces happily pressed against window pane ,

Christmas cheer is here again.

 

Alas young Nick looks so sad ,

Father asks” Are you feeling bad?”

“It’s not the same as last year Dad ,

I’m just not nearly oh so glad .”

 

“What’s the problem?” Father asks

“Didn’t we all enjoy our tasks?”

Smiling face his wonder masks

As in cozy home his family basks.

 

Nick’s concern shows in his face

As they trim the tree with snowy lace.

Father wants no sorrow in his place ,

So to the point his words do race.

 

“Tell me Nick ,what causes sorrow ?”

“You should be glad , Christmas is tomorrow.”

“I know Dad but there’s no Santa Claus !!!”

The father’s stricken , words at a loss .

 

The room is quiet , all are stunned .

Why this year is Santa shunned ?

“My friends all told me .”said Nick with gloom.

Complete concern now filled the room.

 

Father was quick with prompt reply ,

“Don’t you worry , little guy .”

“Santa’s real deep in your heart ,

All the year not far apart.

 

The same as Christ who is our Lord ,

Who was born on Christmas day .

We all believe the bible’s word ,

Not concerned what other’s say .

 

Belief in Santa makes him real .

The same as Christ ,that’s how we feel.

Our faith is ours no one can steal .

As real and good as our Christmas meal.”

 

Belief shone brightly in Nick’s blue eyes

Wonderful smile ,that you could feel.

“I’ll listen no more to those other guys

I know now that Santa’s REAL!!!
