Squirrels scampering gathering nuts,
storing winter supplies, climbing high up
in trees.
Doves, hawks and black dinosaur birds
flying overhead,
enjoying air currents, gliding in the breeze.
 

Bunnies finding their way into the sunlight above,
climbing up from their home underground.
Papa comes out first to be sure it is safe,
then mama pops up her head to look
all around.
 

In search of food, they quietly make
their way,
hiding in bushes and scampering across
the grass.
Fresh carrots have been placed all
within reach,
here come the baby bunnies jumping in mass.
 

All within proximity, yet they keep
their distance,
in search of food, to watch so profound.
Squirrels, doves, black dinosaur birds
and bunnies,
sharing space together on the same ground.
 

How to live, share this earth with our
animal friends,
would it not be a good thing if we too
could learn.
They remain in peace and share in love,
we could if we learned in God's grace we
must yearn.
 

It is our entire destiny to be kind, giving
and share,
respect all our animal friends, which is how it
must be.
God put them on this earth before he did us,
we are the gatekeepers and we guard the
magic key.
 

The next time you go out to enjoy mother
nature,
keep in mind you are sharing with God's
other creatures.
Be careful where you go, take time
to observe,
might even get to see a few double features.
