You tell 'em, Rusty-friend. With poetry like you write, rhyming is definitely NOT an issue! You are talented in every genre, in every style -- and in rhyme or no rhyme! What jerks ... to say something like that in the first place (she says as she's sticking out her tongue).

As long as the work is written with verses, whether they are FREE ~ with or without rhyme; ~ BLANK or RHYMED-METERED, what counts is that it is within the poetic art, MAJOR or MANOR.

Very good!!! I do mostly free verse BUT only because most publishers want only free verse. I have been published many times in the last 1 1/2 yrs. and it still amazes me what turns on a publisher. I like this, it was smart and extrememly well written. CJ was right...your a great poet!!
Rusty - How the hell did you ever get that nickname? Of all those on AD, you'd be the last called, "Rusty." No better example than this posting... full of sassy proof that poetry is poetry is poetry, and never the rhyme shall change it... one way or the other. There is room for every kind of writing... rhyme, poetry and opera being misunderstood cousins of joy!
