Oh the joy
Of dancing
In the rain!
I turn my face upward
As I spin in place,
Accepting Nature’s baptism
With open arms
And the pure, unfettered heart
Of a child.
I relish each drop
That caresses my skin
While I breathe in
The twin fragrances
Of wet grass
And loamy earth.
Soon very adult
And complex responsibilities
Will demand my attention,
But for now,
For this precious moment,
I am transported back
To a time
Of profound
And simple pleasures.
I can so relate to the theme expressed through your verses here, Rebecca. I love the rain (gentle and benevolent rain when Mother Nature is not angry), and dancing in it would be a bonus. Love, peace, and best wishes to you,
Regis. 🙏🌸🌼🌲🌎
