"WOULD YOU BE WILLING?  WILL YOU FORGET?"

As we remember our freedoms this July day,
Think of those who died.
What would be the price you would be willing to pay?
Honor them, with pride.

When you are with family, thank God you have one,
Because many don't.
The land turns red from the spilled blood of our sons,
They won't cry, they won't.

But men do cry--they remember those left behind,
They didn't come home.
Too many brothers and friends, too many to find,
Mourning...all alone.

When you see fireworks lightning up the night sky,
Remember the price.
Would you be willing to do what they did, or I?
What a sacrifice.

When you see a veteran, thank them for their time,
It is only right.
To forget them except on "special" days is a crime,
Such an oversight.

Men and women of honor, they answered the call,
We're free, thanks to them.
Many came home, others didn't come home at all.
THANK A VETERAN.
