Complete freedom, Karla, requires sacrifices. One has to give up certain things to be able to be their own supervisor of self-employment and manage dreams. This means no credit card debts, no big-screen TV, no designer label clothing, no going out to eat, no lavish vacations, no 1000 CD and DVD library collections, and the list goes on and on. Living simple rewards one with not having to punch a time clock. Most people spend their lives waiting for payoffs, but never seize them. Financial freedom and autonomy rewards those who can live and coast on the natural world of nature. We must spend our days doing what makes us happy, not unhappy. When we are inspired, we can do anything we want to and change the course of our lives. We can't stop, we have to keep moving ahead, knowing a new door will open. I wish you and Karen all the best.

Karla excellent poem! One of my pet peeves is routine. Yet, we are all its victim, until we realize how life would be without it;-) methinks Creator's choice of the 24 hour day is better than what we would do, if we really think about it. I also agree with Jerry! You're both in my thoughts and prayers !

I fall out of bed and land
in the middle of life.

I do that every morning, and it's usually my dogs who push me out - sentencing me to a very frigid early morning walk. Brrr!

I like the contents, rhythm and form of this outstanding composition. This poem leads one to think on ontologic background, and on the teleological points of human's affairs... "Life Sentance" is indeed a TELEOLOGIC-ONTOLOGIC picture.

Drudgery is a word that can be used in a lot of ways. I understand your futility, and I had hoped with the new job you would be able to overcome it. Sometimes the grass is not nearly so green when seen up close. Maybe you should seriously consider looking for new possibilities. I know that it is difficult to do, this changing of work habits, but it is also an awful way to live when you hate the dawing of a new day because of the job you must perform to pay . . . all . . . those . . . bills is so very bad.
