This inspired by a book I read, "Stories from a Moron: Real Stories REJECTED by Real Magazines," by Ed Broth.

Poem Artwork

... clouds billowing in the
sky like pillows.  C o u l d
fall asleep, but won't ----
the bears with fuzzy ears
might get me.  If not them,
the mustache-ioed rabbits
might.  Never know about
rabbits:  funny that way.
Now it's raining, now I'm
snoooorring --- strike that.
Like lightning.  Zap!!  N o t
going well, this putting my
thoughts down on paper ...
how n o t to write a poem:
exactly.  Like.  THIS.  One.

Karla:

It is maybe not the way to write a poem, but, I think it is the precise way that we all begin - thoughts floating through our brains, many of them worthy, and then on a good day, we reach out and grab one, if we remember what that thought was that we wanted to develop further. Oh, the many great themes that have gotten away, secondary, of course, to a failing memory or a busy day.

Delightful, my dear!
