First storm video! =]

... this is the first time I stared back ....

Image (c) 2007, Karla Dorman

Poem Artwork

... even though storms have been
watching me for forty nine years,
this is the first time I stared back
with bold eye of video.  It couldn't

do much but flicker nervously in
the distance and try to knock me
down with wind:  thunder had not
arrived yet, nor the rain.  Chasers

have to start somewhere:  for me, it
was in the Wal*Mart parking lot.
Better late than never, eh?  Walked
right up to fear, introduced myself

and began to take its picture.  This is
what it looks like on camera:  as
scared as I used to be.  The skies
have eyes and now I do, too ... =]

After taking so many pictures of so many storms one will expect that our Karla has definitive left that scare-feelings somewhere in a room corner of the basement (possibly a dark one)

Good for you to find a way to overcome your once paralyzing fear of storms, Karla. It is only when we stand in front of the dragon that we have an opportunity to extinguish its flames. Thanks for sharing and also for sharing your photo. Merry Christmas to you, Karen and all those you love.
Take care,
Sherry

Looking at each other... so the next step may be talking to each other. The beginning of romance? Hmm, where is this going to lead you, I wonder. I'll keep an eye on both of you. I'm going to click and watch in just a second.

Okay, so now you're getting tough, standing out in that cool weather taking pics of the incoming storm takes strength...I would love to see December lightening in NJ, maybe with snow along with it, but fat chance, unless you send it this way...Ed [though Rufuz wouldn't like it]

A POEM --->

Why Worry?

There are only two things to worry about:
Either you are well or you are sick.
If you are well, then there is nothing to worry about.

But if you are sick, there are two things to worry about:
Either you will get well or you will die.
If you get well, there is nothing to worry about.

If you die, there are only two things to worry about.
Either you will go to Heaven or Hell.
If you go to Heaven, there is nothing to worry about.

But if you go to Hell, you’ll be so darn busy,
Shaking hands with friends,
You won’t have time to worry.
