... If you happen to find the note (and my brain), send them home, where they're missed: ....

Poem Artwork

... they were here yesterday.  I know
they were.  Where could they have
gone off to?  Had a beautiful poem
in mind, and now the words have
vanished --- poof!  into thin air and
all that's left is this shoddy excuse.

Wrote them down, but lost the note
--- could say the dog ate it, if I had
a dog to blame it on, but I don't, so
that's out, lucky for him.  Could say
I threw it out with my brain --- that's
entirely possible, seeing how I'd

forget my head if it wasn't glued on:
but I didn't have to empty the trash
yesterday.  Did that the day before
--- I didn't write the note u n t i l
yesterday.  So:  where are they, the
words?  Probably with my brain,

because they're certainly not here
and neither is it.  If you happen to
find the note (and my brain), send
them home, where they're missed:
appreciate it.  And then you'll read
the poem I meant to write.  Not this ...

Karla, I call it the poet's curse -- we have an inspiration with the perfect lines and are nowhere near pen and paper or we jot it down and can't find where we placed it for safe keeping -- the poet's curse, it is temporary -- peace and love to you my dear friend -- Jon Michael

Words are like cockroaches, once that idea lamp lights on they will scatter away! You just need to switch off that freaking light! (LOL)

DEAR 'STORMY' - GOOD 'POOP'!

A. Heads are not 'glued' on - they are 'SCREWED' on!

B. Been there - done that! Losin' 'stuff' makes one think yer 'SCREWY'!

C. Suggestion - try to create an Anagram with key words of the current 'piece' thoughts.

Sometimes this one word helps to recall some of the itty-bitty goodies yew can't recall.

EXAMPLE - SCREW ... Some Crazy Rascal Eats Worms!

As Larry The Lounge-Lizard used to say:

"Peace ... Love ... and ... LOVE!" TK.

I do this all the time. I feel as though someone wrote on the back of this note and it is flipped over and you are seeing something else. Turn your papers over and see if it is there.
Love this heartfelt poem.
Much peace, love, and light,
Amber "V"

... Have you looked on top of your head... oh, no, that's for glasses! :)) This is soooooooo me, too, Karla. I write notes to notes and about notes and then lose the whole lot and... guess what, about two days' later it all ceases to matter anyhow. Just put the whole lot in a WAIL pile in the corner... and Worry About It Later! :)) Enjoy your humor-tales which I can always fully relate to... At least THIS note shouldn't stray... though it probably deserves to! xx
