colors of lovers so Indian summer
warmth of bronze upon soft covers
lay entwined with tangled legs
cantor gallops of equine hooves
ankles stirrup and hands rein hair
soft into, the carving squash
yielding open the pumpkin flesh
crisp and cool the autumn moon
rides the curve of heated sky
and day gives kiss to night
gliding bareback, pacing trot
in the sync the seasons know
moistened air and burnished skin
heated by the golden glow
as setting sun would show
the sun lets out a solar flare
to lick the thigh of earth
the moon would shift from full to new
and heave the tide to swell
piercing deep then lapping low
honey thick the amber trees
leaves line the bed of summer blooms
mulched and pressed and shaped into
hearts of matter giving loam
to plant the seeds of living on
colors of lovers so Indian summer
the scarlet sunrise blankets dunes
caressing the love they make together
as radiant waves electrics the air
and sleeps in the arms of each other
Simply Divinely Autumn!(and Indian summer which we are having here;-)

My, this is so clorfully painted on paper, Debby! What imagery! What emotion! I am taken to this place that is hidden in these lines, guided there by your beautiful, descriptive words! Thanks! This one is a keeper!
