Screams escape from the depths of my murdered innocence
Terror reigns as I see shadows of their unforgotten faces
Holding me, they tear away all hope of cherished modesty
I die again a virgin's death with each new blunt invasion...
Purity struggles for every breath in my otherwise guiltless setting
I cry, but my tears do not wash the toxic stains of
primordial aggression
I awake, another dream, another panic in the night
My heart cries once more, knowing that tomorrow is another day
Another lethal repetition, obsessed that they are there

It is terrible that one person could do so much damage to another but it does happen.
I have read a number of your stuff and it really seems you are calling out for help or just trying to release the pain inside
which ever it is you have come to the right place there are a lot of good people on this site that maybe to help.
If you need a friend or an ear, You already have one.

Hi Lori~ I've been using poetry as a form of therapy myself. I think it's great that you can express yourself so powerfully in this poem. PTSD is a terrible thing...you are taking back the power in this poem, and hopefully in your life. Excellent!
It will exist. Memories never leave you dear. Don't even try to run away. But we have to move on. Move on with these memories somewhere behind...but still exisiting...at least ur not being fake to yourself. Babes, life is NOW...in each and every moment. Remember, God is there to punish. So no guilt..no remorse...such feelings shouldn't exist. You're a strong woman, stay like this and you're a virgin at heart. You will remain like this. You never lose it till you lose it to the guy you want to. It's all in the mind! Love you loads...take care and stay strong!

((((((( Lori )))))) Just wanted you to know, I read it, I care, and I am here if you ever need to talk. TRASK does have a good point. Surround yourself with beauty and comfort at night hun. Wether it be a red stem rose, a Enya CD set on play continous, a teddy bear.. an dknow you have many, many people who care and are rooting for you hun.
