One moonlit night on a windswept shore
In a quaint little seaside town
A beautiful maiden arose from the sea
In a sparkling sea green gown
As she arose her clothes fell away
And she danced in naked delight
Flitting across the sea dampened sand
Enraptured by the night
In perfect rhythm with the whispering tide
She danced without a care
Until she heard a wistful sigh
And saw him standing there
Without a word she faced him
And he knew her wrath was near
Til he heard her voice inside his head
“Come dance with me my dear”
He couldn’t believe his fortune
So he took her outstretched hands
But all they found of him next day
Were footprints in the sand

I guess she got her seaman. ;)
Wow, excellent poetry. You capture the reader till the end and then give a powerful punch. Love it!

You see, she was out on the prowl
But he went out to milk a cow
So between the mooin’ and the cooin’
And the dabadaba doin’
He tripped and kicked the bucket
Washed ashore down in Nantucket.
Enraptured moonlight rhythum "come dance with me my dear"
Ah! to footprints in the sand. Loving this poem.

It is about here that I would, very sadly, awaken.
Lovely, though eerie song in words, my friend.
