I am comforted by the cold ... - new poem

Comforted By The Cold (January 19, 2010) A huggable puppy, Red and white, Sits beside me On this cold night. But I won’t embrace it. I welcome the cold; It comforts me now As my feelings unfold. The puppy a gift, A reminder of love, That froze in time When spring reigned above. I don’t want to be warmed By the season that passed, So I’ll sit here alone, With the cold and rest. © Copyright 2010 Lena Kovadlo. All rights reserved.

Very nicely done although sad it shows an inner strength of perserverence...perhaps of learning and acceptance of what life may be.
