To walk a forest path Alone- While leaves are shedding Feeling the briskness in the Air- Complete solitude everywhere Remember how burning leaves Smelled- When you were a child Raking them into the street Lighting- Distinctive aroma, it was fall Another fall has paid a visit Temperatures- 40'S at night From season to season Clocks tick away Nightly haunts and haywire days

It is true how scents of our past interact with our memory banks...even the mentioin of the burning leafs brings instant recognition like the feel of winter's first snowflake on a cheek. Well done.
