America Begging for a Dictatorship! 10/2/2005 5:26:24 PM
Heil Bush? The polls indicate the people want the president to take personal responsibility for all national problems. Who's next after 2008? The 2005 hurricanes and floods dramatically demonstrate the attitude of the American people!
Of course, the central government had a moral oblication to help them during and after the devastation.
It's the fact that the people expected one man -- the president -- to take charge and provide instant comfort and support that worries me.
Only a dictator in a totalitarian government could single-handedly meet these demants, and the American people seem to be completely ignorant of that fact!
For years now George W. has been blamed (held responsible) for everything from public education to international politics.
During the next two years the people will be demanding more and more from the presidency -- and surrendering their personal liberty in exchange.
We can only pray that whoever the people elect in the next election will not follow the polls and assume the power they are delegating to him/her!
