When we experience natural or man made disasters where large numbers of humans die in a brief period of time we are reminded of our own mortality. Burying thousands of bodies in unmarked mass graves is particularly alarming.
Reflect a moment on the millions of people who have lived and died since the birth of planet earth! Where are their grave markers? Only the most recent can be found. The others are lost in the dust of antiquity.
Why waste life in competition and quarreling when it is only in enjoying the living experience together that happiness and peace abounds.
During our journey from first to last breath we attach importance to the trinkets and toys of power and wealth forgetting that Planet Earth is a mass grave awaiting each and every one of us.
