Watching the news last night --
This has to be the craziest time in the history of mankind. After a brief summary of the aftermath of Hurricane Charlie, the subject shifted to the current silliness in our courts. Two trials for wife-murder, one for child abuse, and a nother about celebrity sports figure vs. an accuser of rape.
All interspersed with advertisements for cars that run up mountains and dodge rock slides! Whatever happened to vehicles just to do shopping and errands -- and perhaps an occasional trip? Alma and I don't really need to get from zero to 70 miles per hour between here and the shopping center a few blocks from home. I can't concieve of a load of groceries requiring 350 horsepower to carry it home.
For some reason the entertainment industry has decided we need lessons in reality! Is it really real or realistic to eat worms and leap from a moving truck to a moving truck?
I just answered the phone -- mistake -- so have to cut this short. Will write again soon.
