Blogs by Robert H Drews Look on the Dim Side 7/26/2021 2:07:10 PMLife isn't always hunky dory, and that is a good thing for a writer Perhaps I can't and shouldn't speak for everyone, but I believe writers are helped by the knowledge and experience that it's fruitless to look on the bright side when there is no bright side. Life is not always hunky dory no matter how much we want it to be or try to make it so in pollyannish fake smiles, and it is at such times that we must cling to our beliefs and faith and ride out the storm. It's also at such times that we can be productive in our writing, capturing those emotions with the written word either in our manuscript or putting them in notes for future chapters.
