Blogs by Robert H Drews Putting the Story Together 7/19/2021 8:34:15 AMHow we organize our writing It has always intrigued me how movies are put together, that sometimes the last scene is filmed while the acts and scenes are still being assembled. Do authors create the same way, writing or at least imagining the last chapter as the book is being written or maybe even before it. In my own case, I have gone into each of my books with a good idea of how they will end before I have put down a single word in Chapter 1. The exact writing of that last chapter, and especially the last few paragraphs, changes over time as I write the book but I have ended the books exactly the way I imagined they would end when I started out.
