Many years before I came along the Summertown Church Of Christ was very weak, because the old men who ran it could never agree on anything.
One bright and beautiful Sunday morning the minister rose to deliver the Sunday morning serman. He said that someday the church would grow and prosper, but first there would have to be some funerals held.
His predictions came true.
Rigidity has been the downfall of both reactionary religions and Communism, who followers have arugued and frought over intertations of the Bible and the writings of Karl Marx.
Likewise, educators who adhere religiously to the curve theory of grading likely wonder if slow learners are put in special education classes, who will they give their Ds and Fs to, without any regard as to the possibility that this might be disastrous to their students.
To carry this farther, one Ill. legislator when aruging against birth control, made the statement, "If poor people don't have children. who will fight wars?"
