An Inovative power grid. With all that incentive money floating out of Washington
and the need for employed Americans.
How about this?
Let's build a National power grid. Picture the fast spring run-off of rivers in the North.(Water power) Three hundred days of Sunshine in the Southwest.(Solar energy) The constant prevailing wind that comes down the desolate plains where there's no cosmetic interferance to upset a population looking out at 5000 wind mills. (Wind Power)
The ocean tide run in and our twice a day on both coasts. Why not make some sluices to capture that rush of water and harness it? (More water power)
Okay, now how about the coordination and control of all these natural producing power sources? Right now, across this country there are about 6 control centers for aircraft. They hand off and switch control of all aircraft within the skys of the U.S and 100 miles out to sea.The technology is inventive and effective and could be a model for a power hand off system.
How about a system such as the aircraft control centers controling an all natural power grid. When the rivers of the north flow quickly the power from that source level gets switched to the grid...perhaps, during a rare cloudy day in the Southwest. When the wind in Oklahoma is not rushing down the plain the power center detects this and switches over to the tidal flow or solar in New Mexico....or river flow in the North.
Hey, the bucks are there, the technology to make it happen is achievable...And we're the country that put a man on the moon. So...clean energy once in place will be inexpensive energy... and for your grand kids a gift of energy they can afford and some clean air to breath.
