22 BILLION 9/18/2014 6:00:13 AM
22 Billion American dollars has been spent to train the Iraq army. An Iraq army that our government spent 22 BILLION on to train and arm could not hold off rag tag ISIS taking over Iraq cities one-by-one in their pick up trucks. And ISIS used some of that armament we allocated to the Iraq army as part of that 22 Billion dollar to do so.
Now, the thrust being considered by the President and congress is to spend more BILLIONS re-training the Iraq Army and supplying and replenishing those arms now in the hands of ISIS. In addition the plan is to provide Syria with training and arms, also.
How about allocating some of those BILLIONS to fixing our roads, bridges and infrastructure here in the United States? How about beefing up security at our sea ports, air ports and borders so that ISIS factions can not enter this country to cause imminent danger. How about funding government agencies, (FBI and CIA) and others in America so that they can cull out any dangerous ISIS factions in this country?
Really...Is our government concerned about an ISIS invasion of the homeland? ISIS is void of an invasion force consisting of ships, aircraft carriers, bombers/fighter planes and submarines.
Shouldn't some of those BILLIONS that will be spent re-training and arming the Syrian and Iraq armies be used to find and eliminate ISIS factions now in this country and make sure others do not sneak through the borders of our homeland to create sabotage?
