Life Lessons For Little Ones 7/8/2009 9:53:17 AM
As a mother my job is to tell the truth to my children and teach them things in life even if they do not want to hear it. So I am going to tell all of you the truth even if you do not want to hear it. We have lived in our house here about 23 years. When we first moved into it the phone rang one day and somebody on the other end said, "Are there ducks on the pond"? I did not know what to say to that question, because we do not have a pond. Come to find out there are three men with my husband's name in our town. One of them works at the reservoir. Another time this older man called and said someone was shooting at his house. I hurried and told him he had the wrong phone number and where to call, and hung up feeling so helpless. I am telling you this, because this morning I was woke up when the phone rang and it was for that other number. I got to thinking about how helpless I felt that day and how worried I was about that poor man that had called.
I have been trying to write this the last couple of days, but I have had bronchitis for a week and couldn't think of anything to write. This morning after I had received that call I then started to think about Michael Jackson's Memorial Service yesterday and how sad I felt after watching that.
There are many people that think there are many ways to Heaven, but there are not.
