Life Lessons For Little Ones 7/21/2009 5:33:39 AM
Our son and his wife that have the 3 month old little girl said the other night that their 10 year old son would be 38 just as she would be starting to date. I looked at him and told him that they would be glad for her to date a lot earlier than that. God made it that way, because otherwise you wouldn't be able to let them go. Our son returned home from visiting our daughter. They had alot of fun together, but it was so hot out there. He was glad to get home. When we went to pick him up at the airport we were waiting for him. I then saw his feet coming down the escalator. I started to cry, because I missed him so much, and it was harder to go get him than leaving him off at the airport when he left.
That was on Thursday. Monday came and it all started again. My son is so mad at me, because I do not go to the gym at least 3 times a week like he does. He thinks I do not take care of myself and won't be around for him when he has kids some day.
A year ago this last spring I fell and hurt my ankle. He thinks I just should go and get it operated on and it will be fine. About three weeks ago I fell while walking the dog. I fell off of the railroad tie and onto my shoulder, and somehow hurt my wrist some. All of these injuries from falling are starting to mount up. He is 22 and I am 51. He is driving me crazy. My husband is 53 and never hardly eats anything good and is falling apart from age, but I am supposed to last forever it seems.
I love him more than he could imagine, but he just thinks he knows all of the answers. He does not think that I do enough. According to him I am on the computer all of the time, or watching tv, or on the phone. I call my mother once a day and my mother-in-law once a day. Most of my day is following where him and my husband have been cleaning up after them. The house does need dusting, because we have been busy, but it does not look too bad. He says I live in a fantasy world around Dr. Phil and Oprah, and that I should live in the real world. I asked him how he thought the clothes got hung out on the line and got folded and put away? I told him it sure was not elves that did it. I asked him what he contributed to the house, and he informed me that he was here. For now he is, but he may not be for long if he does not adjust his thinking some. Good looks will only get you so far, and my patience is running out on his view of life. Good Luck out there sometimes you could just scream, so you had better have some chocolate hidden in the house somewhere!
