Waiting for the government to
respond is like pulling hair:
they don't have to worry about
where their next meal's coming
from.  Nearly two weeks after
being approved for food stamps,
no card:  no card, no food.  Try
to call:  all I get is the runaround:
'Press one for English, two for
Spanish.  For questions about
---, press one.  We are unable to
assist you.  That is not a valid
entry.  The person you are trying
to reach is unavailable.  Try again
later.  Goodbye.'  Left screaming
at the dial tone and slamming the
phone down in frustration:  a body
could starve to death waiting for
someone to hurry up and give a
damn!!  They don't have to put up
with the rigomoral.  No wonder
there's little hair left on my head ...
