"US Defense Bill Would Pay Taliban to Switch Sides"
Basically the report says that the Defense Bill that President Barack Obama will sign into law on Wednesday contains a new provision that would pay Taliban fighters to renounce the insurgency, according to Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin.
What a lovely thing to wake up to.
As the daughter, sister, niece, cousin of Veterans, as well as an USAF Veteran myself, this sends shivers up and down my spine and brings tears to my eyes.
Pay the Taliban to switch sides? Who are you kidding?
There's a reason they're the enemy. They have no greater pleasure than to kill Americans.
The more, the better. They'll use any means, any way to kill the infidels. Including using their own people as bombs and shields.
How many of their own has the enemy killed? That's not being reported, just how many WE killed.
October is so far the deadliest month for U.S. soldiers. 54 as of yesterday.
They have died in a lone outpost in Eastern Afghanistan that was nearly overrun by more than 100 insurgents firing rockets and grenades.
They have died in gun battles.
They have been killed in helicopter crashes.
Eight more died Tuesday by homemade bombs buried in the road.
The insurgents must be dancing in the streets.
... providing them with jobs and amnesty ...
What the hell is wrong with this picture?!? We can't even take care of those who serve(d) our Nation and we're paying off terrorists now?
Might as well give them free health care and food stamps.
Might as well wave the white flag and surrender now.
