Life Lessons For Little Ones 11/28/2009 4:26:01 PM
Today my husband and I went to pick our Christmas Tree out and I thougtht as I walked over the lot to the trees if this would be my last time to pick a tree. I am trying to get my husband used to this idea and he is doing ok, but I found out this morning that every so often he gets a stomach ache and is not feeling well sometimes. I said oh no I do not want you to feel sick.
We went and I got a new wreath for our porch, and some new balls for the tree. I want everything to look more perfect then usual. The wreath that I had bought last year was up a little to long and a bird built a nest in it. I tend to put things off as long as possible which is a bad flaw in my character. Then I didn't want to mess up the birds plans this spring so I left it up.
The wreath looks very good now. I'll have to decorate the tree tomrrow and do the dining room table Monday. The house looks very good in the hallway, my husband put new tile down.
My daughter is not accepting this news as well as I had hoped. I have tried to prepare all of my kids since we got married in 1984. This disease is in our family everywhere on both sides of the family. I homeschooled our two last kids the last eight years of their school. The first week I asked them that if anything ever happened to me if they thought it would be okay if my husband would get remarried. My son said he didn't think that would be so good. I explained to him how my great aunt's husband died at the age of forty and that her kids would not let her date anybody. She is about 93 now and has lived all of that time alone. I asked them if they would want their dad to be alone too. Our son decided that he had not ever thought of it that way, and that it would be okay afterall. All of my kids had always wanted to adopt kids into our family just like me. If my husband gets remarried and she has kids they will be fine with that, because they like a big family.
