Life Lessons For Little Ones 12/2/2009 12:55:34 PM
I just got done letting our little Pup Tucker in. This dog is going to get some intense training on how to behave with humans. In the last three days he has snapped at my husband trying to take a toy away from him, I about got bitten trying to take a glass Christmas ornament away from him, and my son bent over to try to pick up the scraps from another ornament that he ate and about got bit.
His birthday is not until the second week in Feb. and he needs some sort of discipline. This dog is the sweetest thing until the chow in him comes out. If he wants to live in here with us he had better figure out his limits fast. His canine teeth are over an inch long and I do not want to be on the other end of those teeth.
This morning he tried to take the lights off of the tree and I screamed at him and told him no. He went over and laid right down and put his chin down and he knew that he was in trouble. That is the first that he cared what I thought about destroying the tree.
My mother said aren't you afraid when he sleeps next to your bed. I said no he is sweet in there. She asks me what are you going to do if he decides to tear off your face like the chimpanzee did. I told her that I had thought of that after he about bit my hand. That is why I called the dog trainer to see what to do with him. I told my husband that if he wanted this dog to stay in the house and live he had better decide to teach this dog some manners. Otherwise he will be outside living. If I try to feed him a bone he will jump up and snap at my hand. He takes a treat out of my husband's hand like a marshmallow. It is just a matter of time before I will be the treat.
