Only In Wasilla

This story over the news wires I just could not believe. Two fellows in Wasilla, Alaska have marketed salmon flavored vodka. Lordy, Lordy, My gag reflex is on overdrive. There must be something in the water in Wasilla....but that's another story.

Poem Artwork

There was a time many years ago

That I would chase the girlies

I’d leave the bar at closing time

And wander home with the whirlies

The room would spin around my bed

Despite my foot upon the floor

The morning after with pounding head

The Night’s behavior I’d deplore

But these two guys from Wasilla

Have created a masterful solution

To conquer serious overindulgence

Preventing Grey matter pollution

They’ve infused their vodka with salmon

It’s a drink that tastes like fish

It appears the folks that attend AA

Have been granted their special wish

It’s the perfect drinking deterrent

Much less severe than death

Because I can not imagine

Having a hangover with foul fish breath

Sara Palin paid them to do it! Too bad it won't kill dirty politics, cuz the politicians won't drink their own medicine. I agree with Dan on this one!

The Thrilla in Wasilla! Eating (or drinking) fish is supposed to be good for your eyesight. Probably why The Palin can see Russia from her house!!

Mind you, I am just thinking out loud here, but the thought occured to me that Sara Palin and her 'fisherman' husband are from Wasilla...get my drift here?

Cheers,
Dan

A real chuckle. I refuse to let my Vietnamese partner put her fish sauce on my food. She does serve me much broiled salmon--well cooked. I wonder if that was the source of the Mekong Whisky I so readily consumed every night in Thailand...ughh.

Must have been Palin's idea.

Neither can I. To each his own I guess. Actually after what has happened in the Gulf, who has an appetite for fish?

GOD BLESS YOU

I'm so glad you keep us up on the news, I seem to miss so much of import. Great poem! What in heck are they thinking? This looks like stuff to suckle a shark with.
Take Care,
Christine

Just keep that breathe of yours after that vodka west of the Mississippi, and all will be just peachy...Ed

It's just fish bait man, dead dogs don't taste no better. The Exxon Valdes in that region at one time, there you go, mabey the Gulf people will come up with something simular in time, like shrimp flavoured margaritas ha. Hugs! Jasmin Horst
