It came swiftly

and perhaps in those fleeting moments

he did recall

no man knows their day and hour

at all

 

There were several heartbeats

before the last was heard

his maker giving him time

as they exchanged unspoken words 

And then...with the great escape

from all his hardships

...still dawning

 

Resisting the nudge of all his earthly loves

Michael took flight into the arms of Peace and

...Kissed Morning!
