It would seem that I have an "admirer" who loves to stare at me through my studio window every single morning; rain or shine; sleet or snow!
Little grey squirrel staring at me
Just about eye level up in his tree
Every morning while I read my mail
There he sits watching and grooming his tail.
His nest he has built in the crook of a limb
I think he’s a bachelor, I’ve seen only him
He won’t leave his branch as long as I’m here
Just peeks through my window looking so dear.
When I leave to begin the routine of my day
I assume off he goes with the others to play
The next morning he’s there on his limb without fail
Where he sits watching me and re-grooms his tail.

Darling~! But oh how I wish I had only one squirrel watching. They bowl on the roof, they dine on the top of the yard lights my husband built, they climb on the windows and glass doors and stick their little squirrel tongues out at the dogs...reckon it's because I'm squirrely? sounds like you made yourself a new friend of the furry persuasion. squirrels are so cute; i love to watch them scurry up and down the trees and watch them flick their bushy tails! cute write! (((HUGS))) :)
