Oh sTinka,

What a splendid write and photo! When I was a wee child, my mother would call me to the table, and I would pencil-sketch African Elephants without missing a heartbeat...their image seemed to have been engraved on my heart! My favorite part, besides their trunk, of course, was their big beautiful ears!

What a beautiful picture, Tinka. The elephants are getting a bad rap these days for attacking and killing humans. It is believed that this is happening because the elephants are being squeezed out of their natural habitats and also out of their anger from watching their entire herds being culled to thin out their numbers and/of for their ivory. You have captured the essence of these gentle giants who would love to always be as sweet as this one was while accepting your kisses.

Oh Tinka...this is not only heart warming, but it reminds me of my son, Sammy. He loves elephants! One day, in Disney, they had an elephant made of plaster, I assume. I told him to kiss him while I take a pic...He kissed his bum! LOL! My Sammy is off to college now...and I miss him!
