Made by the lizard's tongue
As It slithers in and out?
Have you ever actually seen
The intersections
Where each fiber
Of a spider's web
Crosses one another?
Have you ever heard
The cadence made
By the foot steps
Of a horde of army ants?
Have you ever witness
The manufacturing
Of noise
Produced by a cricket
As he rubs, it's hind legs together
In the darkness of a night?
Do the silvery moonbeams
From the pale bule, full moon
Make a crashing noise
As It's rays, like tentacles
Descend upon the earth?
Why am I cursed
To continuously
Reenter a senseless dream
That keeps me awake
Weary with painful
Daggar pricks, with each blink
As I try not to
Stay awake?

Love this poem and hate when the mind won't quit and let me get some sleep. I can truly relate to that frustration.
1. Ain't heard the music from the lizard's tongue, but they love to be pet like a dog and a cat. Very friendly little creatures. They're neat. I'll listen next time.
2.Spider webs are miraculous I love them! They make some neat designs and to watch spiders make them is amazing. So tiny and so smart.love when webs are wet w/ dew or raindrops and the sun shines on them. Beautiful webs they weave. The colors that reflect. as beautiful as a rainbow. Spiders are neat to watch.
3.Never heard the ants footsteps but love their ways coming to aid of another in need. Humans have a lot to learn from the ants!!. Humans should be more like them.
4.Crickets I love! Good luck when in the house and beautiful relaxing songs they make. To hear a cricket is one of the best things in life to the ear.
5.Moonbeams, No can't say that I have heard any noise from them and I've spent many a nights out in the quiet outdoors. Will listen for them next time I go sleep under the stars.

For foot steps, yes. There is an African proverb that says that a person in love waiting for his beloved always hear footsteps of ghosts. Willy, do you say?

well actually i have spent alot of nights listening to a darn cricket that somehow made it into the house, one little bug can make so much noise, i usually end up hunting him down and forcefully evicting him. nice poem and lots to ponder...wonder...uh ponder
