A storm rushed through
Like a miracle
The sunshine penetrating clouds
Of soft dark gray cotton.
She survived this day
Healthily, sure footed, deep rooted
standing like a migty rock
Rain drops lingering
Upon silken petals
Of a yellow Rose
Like morning crystal dew.
Alone she stood
In a field littered with debris
Carried by wild zephyrs
traveling in directions
unknown, unseen.
Rolling thunder
gently fades in the distance
Like the sparrow's songs
Of yesterday.
The beauty
Of the yellow Rose
Is here to stay
Maybe not eternally
Hopefully
Just Another Day.
