Sometimes I wish Life
Was like that
Of The Rose
The Rosrebud blossoms
Her petals bloom
The air is filled
With the scent
Of her sweet perfume
She browns with time
Dies and withers
Falls silently to the ground
Without anyone around
She'll not make a sound
Just her
In her glory
Infinity bound
One might think
Did she suffered any pain?
No one knows
She never complained
When her final day came
She left us in sorrow
Knowing for her
There'll be no tomorrow.
Most excellent William. The beautiful rose has a seasonal life span so we are teased with the beauty and aroma for months then she fades. One consalation is she always blooms anew in the next season.

No one knows
She never complained
How true of so many life forms in Nature, William - other than man, of course.
the times when I suffer in silence no one really knowing the whirlpool of emotions deep within!!
