The Night

Peace
As tranquil is The Night
Soothing and serene
As the running waters
Of a gentle stream.

Silence is golden, Shattered
By night life
Crickets, toads and mating calls
Full moon arching
The dark velvet skies.

A hand is held
Hearts throbbing
Love is brewing
Gentle kisses.

Lips melting, trembling wants
Happiness, true love
Promises, lies, tear drops
Eyes staring, comets falling
A wish made.

Mystic is The Night
Hiding the unknown
Predators preying
The weak cowering.

Changing skies
Fading in, is the gray
Hues appearing
Bright orange merging
Into the horizon east
Sunrising, to a new day.

This is an original way of writing, like a musical toccata, sharps intermixed with softs. Great way of depicting the night and its loves, noises etc. Victor
