A Winter Scene

The skis are cloudy
Deep cottony gray
Cold winds are blowing
Old man winter
Biting hard upon
My freezing ears
Dry leaves of various hues
Completely cover
The surrounding grounds
Were leafless trees reside
Flurries of light snow
Swirling in a frenzy
My nutty retiever
Chasing dry leaves
Blown by the wind
As a cat while stalking
Playfully chases a mouse
Not heeding to my commands
I continue walking
Till out of sight,
was my house,
Totally consumed
As if swallowed by the forest
That now surrounds me.

What a wonderful scene you've sculpted here, William. Very nice. I could almost smell the leaves and see your retriever! Excellent work.

You paint quite a winter scene, William - and although I enjoy all four seasons, I'm already dreaming of Maiden Spring since Old Man Winter has been quite nasty around these parts lately.
