Spring Of My Soul

Spring is in the air
Even the “dill”
In my herb garden
Is blooming with exciting
Florets.

So is an onion I found
Within my fridge
Sprouting green shoots
I planted it several weeks ago
Her bulbs are also blooming.

The rose bush I thought dead
Rejuvenated a few days ago
Blossomed a glorious
Iridescent orange rose.

Oh How I wish
My soul
could do the same.

Don't you love when come Spring the old wrinkles seems to disappear?
The heart beat stronger and how the toothless lion looks a the young gazelles?
A wonderful time.

I'm with Eileen, your soul must be blooming just fine, dear William -- how else could you write such lovely poems? This one is like an awakening, and I found it to be lovely, too.

CJ

Ah yes, William. These sentiments I can relate to completely. You are fortunate if spring is that evident where you are (but that's another matter altogether). Thank you. Love and peace,

D’Artagnan's soul. Is this from the Romances by Dumas?
Must go reread. Nicely done, William.
