Drained Of inspiration
~*~*~

At this moment
I feel uninspired
As if I was drowning
In total despair.

The only thing escaping
My mind
Is a dull pain
Within my head
Like pressure from the top.

Nothing sinking in
Not even
The chirping of the birds
Nothing trying to exit
Either.

I am temporarily
Set on pause
Must be the weather
H.H.H
Hot, Humid and Hazy.

Even while walking the dog
I felt out of place
So did he
As he walked along
Sluggishly
Properly secured
On a leash.

Panting
With his tongue hanging
Half way to the ground
Not even pulling on the leash.

I can see my son’s house
A quarter of a mile
Away
Through a new clearing
Of our local woods.

Maybe that’s the true reason
Why
I might be feeling this way
Uninspired
Seeing that section
Of our green belt woods
Being cleared
For more developments.

*********~***********
A Treat so she say from my
Beautiful granddaughter

"Here And There"

Left, no right, where do I go?
I guess, I go here and there
Here and there, I guess
It equals everywhere
So when I go everywhere
I go here and there.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, feeling this way right about now, uninspired with patches of writers' block...but reading you surely gave me a fuel. Thanks for this one.

Ah William, a hot, humid, hazy day is a day to stay inside with the air conditioner. Someone should make cutting a tree down a crime! I lived for three years in Port O'Conner, TX. The biggest trees were three stunted and gnarled pine trees planted next to a house. That certainly cured me of cutting down a tree. I'm sorry.
Love,
annie

William, the other day, words would not come and I felt I had nothing more to say, but Someone came along and put the words back in place. I live in a large development & I know how it is to miss the beauty of trees and greenry. Enjoyed this! Also, the granddaughter's lovely poem.

I know that feeling William. We bought this house two years ago, quiet and peaceful, we could sit out the back and not a soul around. Two short years later and a whole new subdivision appeared from outta nowhere. Thank you for sharing.

Aren't those asphalted empty parking lots more lovely than trees?
Trees are for birds...and who needs them?
We should not stop progress.
Better a cement jungle.
Now I am depressed!!!

One thing I must give Atlanta credit for are the trees...Go up on Stone Mountain and all you can see are the tops of tall building and trees. Everyone's yards are greenspace, for the most part.

William ...
Sometimes what we consider being uninspired, in fact, gives a glorious insight, to the reader, into the bare bones essence of who we are as writers and artists. You inspired me, and so did the Gab!
Blessings ...

It is very hot here too and is not the time to clear the trees. No wonder you feel drained but you still write well. Best wishes...JDM

A poignant write, William, the weather, the chaos going on all around can sap the energy...hope you find it soon. Excellent pen.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
