Frozen Silent

Frozen silent

~~*~~

 

I enjoyed a quiet walk

On this cold, clear, winter day

A beautiful mountain morning

The air is crispy fresh

Powder snow

Slowly melting on lawns

And in the woods

where resides within

a babbling brook.

~*~

 

I felt a strange silence in the air

A few feet further

My curious questions

Were answered

~*~

 

The beautiful brook

That spoke to me

but a few days ago

Was Frozen

A milky ice imprisoned

Her silent, her freedom

of movement and speech

Stowed in time

~*~

 

though frozen

she still speaks to me

As a beautiful picture

Within the depths of my mind.

William, this is just absolutely touching! You capture a painting that will remain in my mind forever...it reminded me of the river of life that flows through us. "We" see God in all things and they bring peace to our hearts and soul. This is one of your best ever!

"...movement and speech stowed in time..." a walk inside the beyond perhaps, or, Father Frost disguised as an ice butterfly gave you a hug.
