Mornings are damped
Coolness of it's sweet dew
Lingers thick in the air
Clothing sticks to you
Days are hot
At times soggy and moggy
Lazy too.
My early morning, I pass my time
Doodling and drawing
Diddling and sketching
My mind feels mellow
A million miles away.
Staring at a palm
A lizard caught my eyes
From behind a fiber
Of a fold bark.
Slinking back and forth
Bobbing his head
In the back of my mind
I feel at eased.
I am totally consumed
By a peacock's mating call
And their crazy dance
A black lizard appears
Largest yet.
Opening his jaws
Showing off, his inner red
Attacked the other, ate his head
All my thoughts unfold
As he, Ate him whole,
Now he's dead
I still feel lazy,
Staying in bed.
