anywhere
there is warfare.
Got to follow orders,
maybe sent to any danger borders.
A soldier is a warrior
even if you feel he's inferior.
When fighting time comes,
A soldier becomes,
The business man.
He got to make a stand,
no matter what the war plan.
Can't chicken out,
or pout,
walk away or run,
Not much choice but pick up his gun.
Got a loved one,
Then tell him/her not to join
To late after the fact.
A soldiers has to follow orders & attack
Unpopular sentiment right now, but it makes me sad to think what soldiers go through. That they have to be soldiers! That we can't find a way to stop fighting!! Feel you have mixed feelings, which is to your credit. Universal peace is unrealistic, but then, so is love. Right? Write on!! Phyllis
Note: "INFERIOR" in my poem isn't meant to be my feelings. It references those people who try to blame the soldiers like they did during the Vietnam War Tony. During this time the soldiers couldn't even wear their unforms because some people tried to degrade and take the war out on them. I must remind everyone that a soldier only follows orders from his superiors, no one should try to take anything out on the fighting man. Go to Washington DC and get the politicians. If anything, we should be glad that we have soldiers that will fight regardless of whether they agree or disagree with events.
