I Feel a bitter anguish over the Qana air strikes by Israeli air force. In this short poem I wish to talk to all military pilots in the world over not to take instructions when the crimes they commit and the devastation they cause are far higher than what they are aspiring to attain in the fight.
Pilots of war planes
Are you not human beings?
Are you just robbots
Without a human concern?
How come you bomb cvilians
Who are innocent and defenceless
Have you not a heart that beats
Or beneath your empty chests
You have a stone that never feels
How can you look your wife in the eye
Or share a moment of joy with your children
Or chat with them while eating together
When you have denied other families to do the same?
Peace and war had married in Gaza a year ago
present at the ceremony were angels of love
But devils of war brought fire from hell
War and peace are divorcing in South Lebanon
You point to the evil in this world, my friend. There is never cause for killing. I send you love and peace,

What is happening in lebanon cannot be even called a war; it is a case of state terrorism against innocent civilians

Dead Poet Society is absolutely right. It is the corrupt politicians and cheir chanting choir are to blame. We have so many of them on this den.
That does not exempt soldiers as there was always Refusenecks who refused to serve in the occupied territories. Instead of being hailed as heroes they were branded as traitors

Your heart is in the right place Abdi-Noor but unfortmuately the peole who are doing these things don't read poetry. Dead Poet Society is right. They are following orders and think they are justified in doing this. It is the politicins who sit back enjoying life and justify their actions that war is necessary. It gains nothing for our citizins only the Devil and his followers win. flower
I think your sentiments are in the right place, Abdi-Noor. But most soldiers and airmen and pilots and military ship captains only follow orders. Politicians start wars, and then they sit back in huge comfortable offices while others feel all the pain and agony and sorrow and death.
