A winter morning tale in Orlando
Somehow that seems like an oxymoron
I’m freezing
doesn’t matter that it’s only fifty
I’m still freezing
and it doesn’t seem to bother the dog
he’s races out the door
to crap on the lawn
and put his face into a cool breeze
and the wood pecker
is still trying to chop down my oak tree
the cats seem to think
cold equals massive amounts of energy
and for some reason
energy must be spent
so they have taken chase
racing up one stair case
down the other
three maniac cats
with a dog right behind
barking his happy little head off
I haven’t seen my hawk yet
he’s up there
I can hear him occasionally
screaming in the wind
he usually doesn’t perch on my
shower window
until spring
not sure what it is
he’s watching
maybe me
Beautifully imaged, this is a sheer pleasure to watch your world unfold before my eyes. Peaceful. Serene. I want to be where you are!! BRAVA! One of your best. Thank you!
If it was 50 degrees here, I'd be out on my lawn in my skivvies - sunbathing! Right now, it's about 20 degrees, and snowing, and my dogs still want to go out and crap.
Explore the mystery of how nature makes unexpected gifts of creative wonders to an unsuspecting caregiver one late night and early morning in southeastern Georgia, USA.
