Whynot Liver?

My liver has a first name:
W H Y N O T.
My liver has a second name:
L I V E R.
You ask me, “Do you like it?”
“Gosh, no! It smells like arm pits!”
You ask me, “Do you eat it?”
“You’re joking, right?” I spit.
My liver has a first name:
W H Y N O T.
My liver has a second name:
L I V E R.
Do commercials … seeking fame,
make money, promote my name.
‘Liver’ isn’t fit for dogs—
lest they wind up at the vets!
My liver has a first name:
W H Y N O T.
My liver has a second name:
L I V E R.
I won’t advertise it long
‘cause I sing, written a song.
If someone gives you ‘Whynot’ …
return their ‘gift’ on the spot!
My liver has a first name:
S T I N K S
My liver has a second name:
G O P U K E!

Loved this boldly stated and unique write, Sandra! Yup, no matter how good it is for us, it still isn't worth all that wretching...perhaps we'll just leave it to Rod Flanders of the Simpsons to go enjoy! It certainly does smell like the compost-function it performs! Deliciously penned! Thank you. KB

I notice you didn't say what it tastes like. But considering it smells like armpits, I don't think we need to know what it tastes like elsewhere on the body.
