Laughter is always good medicine :)!
*******************

Too many kernels and not enough corn,
I do wish my ears worked sometimes … like yorn.
My hair’s been silky since I was first borne.
My ears are eyes
(that’s a surprise)
beware of stalks …
just bearing lies.
I truly am thirst … get too much sun.
I feel like I’m roasting; others have fun.
When I’m buttered, burn. When I’m ‘shucked’, life’s done.
Nibble my ears
(excitement smears)
juices our gears.
I like hanging on the farm. The scarecrow
dances in the breezes when the winds blow.
I’m never outside when it rains or snows.
The crows caw me
horrid stories—
of ears gory.
I love being cocooned in my warm husk.
It keeps out the dust and the worms. I trust
my knight in shining armor to save us.
A little pig’s
snorting … I wig.
This ain’t my ‘gig.’
Where is my Colonel? Did he flip his wig?
I am not fodder for just any pig!
Come. Hold me closer, we’ll do a corn jig.
Nibble, lear
as you hold me, dear.

I am all ears!
