Ah, 'tis no wonder I made teacher weep …
enchanted my broomstick so it would sweep
all of the dust from the bunnies that fell,
flew to the ceiling … swept cobwebs as well
and dirt from the ditches!
She insisted I learn to 'Boo,' to fright …
I made myself ghostly, laughed in delight.
Sat on the tip of my witches hat, bent
the sharp point so well that it kept a dent
in language … witches.
We all had our pots where each stirred their brew.
Most witches were green. I turned myself blue!
Sent Mom a strong letter by rabid bat,
"Your daughter's a flake … can't earn her HAT!
"She is a witch PRINCESS!"
Called to school, Mom flew off the handle
into the arms of Principle Randall.
Blushing, so HOT, our wax wicks flamed anew,
and had us flying to keep them in view.
My teach said, 'What bit___s."
Fired, teach exploded … spitting hot ashes.
Mom spewed itches, boils, oozing red rashes,
biting big spiders, crabs, bugs on lashes
cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns, wide open gashes.
"I QUIT teaching witches!
I'll fly where one wishes!"
What FUN ~!! Exceedingly well-written, to boot. Love the dust
bunnies. Have to make them your friends. Cobwebs, too.
Someone notices a cobweb in a corner, tell 'em it's a
science project!! Or. . .it's a witch thing--? ~~~ Thanks so
much for the mini-vacation. See you on Halloween. Heh--heh--heh.
