Illustrated poetry my imagination running wild.

Mer Maid
Her mouth flopped open
and her tongue rolled out.
A bugged-eyed flake
reeled her in. Heaven quakes!
Caught, goner, has been?
Her lips grin--thin.
She flips, flops, thrusts about.
Spied water, jumped, slid in,
to swim--swiftly--away.
Truly he smelt!
His touching her, she felt,
was a 'want' appeased
though too hard he squeezed.
English she'd not say.
With 'this' catch, he sighed --
a 'mer' person ... LIVE ...
was a fantasy.
all would pay to see!
As he snapped a shot
(would develop NOT),
she escaped, would thrive.
With hot baited breath,
the bloke leaned too far.
His boat tipped, o'er turned,
murky water churned.
As she took his hand
he mouthed words, "To MER land ...
take me where they are."
Mer maid took him down ...
water took his breath.
A bugged-eyed flake
she reeled in--Mer folks quake.
Is he finished? His end
depends on Mer men.
Fantasy ... his death?
Chasing fins his quest
now he joins the rest
who thought Mer maids best.
